Benefits of Being Online
Every Sunday morning, when I am at the front at the beginning of each service, I will peek at our YouTube channel to see how many people are joining us online. This past Sunday, just after I had finished the sermon, a notification popped up on my iPad from a member of the congregation who was watching from home. (I get notifications of text messages, too, so there have been occasional texts from folks in the middle of church, which always causes me to chuckle.)
More than one person texted/messaged me on Sunday to say how thankful they are to be able to watch online, especially if someone isn’t feeling well, if they are out of town, or if it’s -10 below zero!
Besides being able to watch the Sunday services online, you can always access the bulletin by clicking on the link. (Tip: open the bulletin on your phone or iPad and watch the service on the YouTube app on your computer or TV.)
When we get to the Sharing of the Peace, I encourage those in attendance to offer a sign of peace to those joining us online. Which I am pleased to say many people do! It is our way of acknowledging that anyone joining us online is an important part of our worshiping community.
See you in church!!
