Outreach Ministry Team Wishing Well for May

We have just one more week to collect items for the Lake Area Free Clinic!

The Lake Area Free Clinic (LAFC) opened its doors in 2001, founded by DMLC member and registered nurse, Betty Schumacher, along with her husband, Dr. Bernhard Schumacher. Since that time the LAFC has served more than 9,000 patients and volunteers contribute an average of 11,400 hours of service each year. 

An estimated 13,000 Waukesha County adults are medically uninsured. 

In 2023:

 - The medical clinic had 229 new patients

 - Half of all LAFC patients were at the Federal Poverty Level or below

DMLC has been pleased to support the LAFC, especially as our Outreach Ministry Team has made them our Wishing Well Focus as well as painting some of the spaces at the clinic. 

Please check out the information provided in the email about needed items. Our contributions will assist the LAFC in providing over-the-counter medications for their patients. Every little bit helps!
