Full Moon!
This week has been stellar for anyone wanting to observe a full moon. For the last three nights, I have ventured outside to catch a glimpse of this wondrous phenomenon, when there is a clear sky, with little or no light pollution to obscure the view.
I have been hoping to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights while I am in Door County. On Monday morning, I woke up at 3:15 am, and knew if I didn’t go outside I would probably not be able to fall back asleep. Well, there were no purples or greens in the sky, but I was able to capture a rather cool shot of Bethany Lutheran Church, where I am providing pulpit supply.
On Tuesday morning, at about the same time as the day before, I found myself awake and decided to take a drive over to Eagle Tower at Peninsula State Park, again, no Northern Lights, but caught a wonderful view of the night sky over Ephraim and the tower in the moonlight.
Last night, Wednesday, my sister and I went out in search of the moon again, and found it over the steeple of Bethany.
“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established; what are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?”
Psalm 8:3-4
See you in church!!
